The sweetest things are often the simplest. If you’re not sure what to do on Valentine’s Day, follow our 4-step foolproof guide to a great Valentine’s Day.
Step 1. You can never go wrong with the classic Valentine’s Day gifts—a thoughtful Valentine’s Day card with a little love note, and of course, flowers.
One of our favorite local florists is B. Willow located in Remington and coming soon to Canton! Willow’s staff offers a tremendous amount of knowledge to help you find the right plant for your home. After you’ve placed order, you can get back to the important things, like spending time with your partner.
Step 3. Netflix and chill.
Snuggle up with your Valentine’s Day Date and scroll through various streaming services to find your favorite Valentine’s Day movie. If you’re interested in a night out, head down to the historic Senator Theater from February 13th-19th to see The Princess Bride on a their big screen! Showtimes are available on their facebook page. It’s an easy and cute Valentine’s Day idea for him or for her. The Senator is located on York Road across from Belvedere Square, so don’t forget to stop by for dinner or pick up some treats on your way home!
For a retro Valentine’s Day gift idea, pick up a classic movie from your local record store.
The Sound Garden in Fells Point has a huge movie collection, as well as one of the best record selections in Baltimore with plenty of new releases and vintage albums waiting to be discovered. If you’re looking for things to do on Valentines’ Day, why not sift through old vinyls and movie titles while enjoying a day by the water in historic, downtown Fells Point? After a long day, head over to our Canton location for a quick bite and a fresh cup of coffee.
Step 4. Finally, end the night on a sweet note.
Try our Linzer Tart with Forest Berry Jam. It’s the perfect balance between tart and sweet with a delectable crunchy texture. Or pick up one of our Couple’s Cakes made with chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream, and raspberry filling. Both desserts are made for two so they’re perfect for sharing!

Since 1999 Atwater’s has been making traditional food crafted by hand. We began in a small bakery making only one kind of bread and grew to our current Baltimore shops that specialize in soup, sandwiches, salad, cheese, coffee, scottish pies, jam, and more! As we continue to grow, our commitment to quality food and service remains the same. You can find our fine foods at our locations and markets across the Baltimore-Washington area.
